Robin Lewis is the Director of Procurement for Ferrellgas, a Fortune 1000 company serving the propane needs of approximately one million Customers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

Robin began her career with Ferrellgas in 1997 as a Manager in Accounts Payable. She quickly moved up the career ladder, assuming responsibility for Procurement and taking on numerous project integral to Ferrellgas’ growth, including the oversight of all business related to NRG Distributors, a Flint, Michigan-based Hearth and Heating appliance wholesaler with annual revenues exceeding $10 million dollars. Under Robin’s leadership, NRG achieved its highest cash flow numbers in history and was successfully divested in 2007. She has successfully consolidated Ferrellgas’ procurement group with that of grill tank exchange partner Blue Rhino, enabling the team to post a $3 million savings in its first year of integration. Robin has also taken the lead in developing a global sourcing alliance to include supply chain propane company executives from Australia, Turkey and Brazil, and has assumed responsibility for Ferrellgas’ substantial Fleet operations.

Proving her value to Ferrellgas’ operations, Robin has won numerous company awards, including the 2003 Leadership Award, and was selected from among the company’s 5000 Employees as a recipient of the James E. Ferrell Chairman’s Award in 2006, the company’s highest honor. In 2007, she was selected as one of the Kansas City Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business.

Robin is a mother of two (Ashley, a recent graduate of the University of Missouri, and Sean, age 7) and has been married to her husband, Darrel, for 13 years. She has a Master’s degree in Management from Baker University.
